Macquarie University Hospital is Australia’s first and only private not-for-profit teaching hospital on a university campus. The hospital sits under the umbrella of MQ Health, encompassing the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, and other specialised clinical services. About the Role

As a Caf? Attendant, you will play a key part in delivering a high-quality hospitality experience across Macquarie University Hospital. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing food and beverages for patients, visitors and staff in a timely manner with a customer-centric approach.
  • Delivering excellent customer service to all caf? and hospital customers, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals and uphold excellence in service delivery.
  • Supporting the orientation and development of new staff members and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Completing required documentation accurately and in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to food hygiene, cleanliness standards and HACCP requirements, as well as all relevant Work Health and Safety legislation.
  • Participating in quality assurance, continuous improvement projects and audit processes within the department.
  • Ensuring all mandatory education and competency requirements are completed in a timely manner.
  • Performing other duties as directed by the Hospital Caf? Manager.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your resume:

  • Experience as a catering assistant or similar food preparation role. Experience in a hospital is desirable.
  • Strong Understanding of food hygiene and Cleanliness Standards
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
  • Reliable and punctual in duties and contributing to the team.
  • Strong interpersonal and Communication skills
  • Availability for Flexible shifts, with a preference for Saturdays and Sundays.
